Where to buy
Costco garage doors — what you actually pay
A 16x7 sectional steel door fitted runs about $2,130 – $4,350 wherever you buy it, and $2,630 – $5,350 insulated. The difference between buying it at Costco and buying it from a local company is not really the money.
What Costco is good at
One package, one price, a national installer behind it, and the Costco guarantee sitting over the top of it.
What people find out afterwards
A short list of doors and colours, membership required, and the installed price is rarely the cheapest — you are buying the guarantee as much as the door.
How it works
Buying a garage door from Costco
The opposite of Menards. You are not really choosing a door — you are choosing a packaged programme with a national installer behind it, from a deliberately short list of doors and colours. Consultation, measure, fit and the guarantee all arrive as one thing, and there is very little for you to manage.
Who actually fits it. A national installation partner rather than an allocated local subcontractor, which means a more consistent process and a single company accountable for the whole job. Fewer moving parts than anything else on this list.
What the price covers. The installed job, and the guarantee sitting over it. It is rarely the cheapest number and it is not trying to be — the premium is the point, and the honest way to read a Costco quote is as a price for not having to think about it.

Afterwards
If something goes wrong
The best answer of the four, and by a distance. One company is responsible, the membership guarantee sits above the manufacturer's warranty, and Costco's own reputation for taking a complaint seriously is the actual product you are buying.
Verdict
Who Costco is right for
Somebody who wants it handled, is already a member, and does not need an unusual size or a specific colour. If the short list has your door on it, this is the lowest-hassle route in this comparison.

The bit that is the same either way
Fitting does not get cheaper
| Line | Typical | |
|---|---|---|
| Fitting, springs and tracks | $980 | A crew and most of a day, wherever the door came from. |
| Old door out and away | $410 | Often quoted separately by a big box. Ask. |
The number to compare is the INSTALLED price with the old door taken away, not the price on the tag. A door that is $200 cheaper and $300 to haul the old one is not cheaper.

Find an installer
Buying the door is the easy half
A door bought from a store is fitted by whoever that store subcontracts that week. We are the crew, not a call centre — the same two installers on every job, doing this since 2019.
New doors and replacements
New doors and replacements across central Florida — Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, Clermont, and everywhere between.
Repairs and service
Repairs and service within 40 miles of Sebring — Avon Park, Lake Placid, Wauchula, Arcadia, Lake Wales, Bartow, Frostproof and Winter Haven.
A tighter area on purpose. A broken spring needs somebody the same day, and an hour each way is not the same day.
Outside both? Put your ZIP in below anyway. We will pass it to somebody who covers you, or tell you plainly that we cannot — which beats waiting on a call that was never coming.
