| 8x7 | 8' | 7' | One small car. Tight for anything wider than a sedan — mirrors are the problem, not the body. |
| 9x7 | 9' | 7' | One car or a normal pickup. The standard single door. |
| 10x8 | 10' | 8' | One full-size truck or SUV with a roof rack. |
| 16x8 | 16' | 8' | Two vehicles, one of them tall. The double door for a truck household. |
| 12x10 | 12' | 10' | A workshop bay, a boat on a trailer, a dual-wheel truck. |
| 12x12 | 12' | 12' | An RV, a lifted dually, a shop with a lift in it. |
| 10x7 | 10' | 7' | One vehicle with room to open the door without touching the frame. |
| 18x7 | 18' | 7' | Two vehicles with real space between them. Common on newer builds. |
